greatest entrance in baseball and the greatest closer in baseball is amazing, especially 2008 all star game in Yankee Stadium
-
@42gameover i agree its just weird to see him get the ball from francona
-
It's so weird to see Mo get to the mound and there waiting for him is a Red Sox Manager, 2 Texas Rangers, a Twin, a Ray and a Tiger LOL
-
Rivera once pitched a perfect game from the bullpen,

When was the last time you saw Francona without his pullover on? lol

@Yoseman1 and the new stadium will continue those traditions. it has already hosted football games (one of which i been to), boxing matches, huge concerts and the rest will come in time. if anything, the new stadium revitalized yankee stadium as a great center for events like it was b4. if the old stadium was till around im sure those prices would be up around where it is now anyway,maybe evn more so cause there would be less luxury seating n if u think prices r steep there go 2 a knick game

Not really. This was YANKEE STADIUM, not Ebbets Field. This was not just a shrine of baseball, it held historic fights, 3 popes, historic football games, concerts, and more. The Yankees made money hand over fist, and this new stadium, with it's $1,250 field level seats, $11 beers, and $45 hats is nothing more than greed. I am no sucker, so I won't be part of it...

@Yoseman1 your opinion becomes moot when it gets clear you dont know a single thing about me. when i was a boy my dad who in turn was a die hard yankee fan his whole life, experiencing every minute of the bronx zoo and the hell that was the 80s and early 90s would be the one who wanted to leave and i made him stay.u pretend that movin a stadium 2 the other side of 161st and river tarnishes the history of the team.there is a difference between moving a block and moving to LA or san fran. a big 1

@jmn1228 ]
Yes, the Stadium was renovated in the 70's. That said, the original outfield wall, the clubhouse, the frame, the ramps that got you from the bottom to the top, all the way down to the courthouse in the backdrop that you could see when Gerhig gave his famous speech, was all still there. Fact is, this new corporate Stadium was built for you, the guy who is casual about the game, talks on the phone for most of it, and leaves in the seventh inning, and it sucks.

And to think that whiny bitch Paplebon wanted to close the game over Rivera. Not in our house, jerkoff.

watching Francona hand the ball off to Mo is weird to see
I don't know what Navarro wanted to talk to Rivera about but it probably was along the lines of
"Hey Mariano one question, how the hell do I catch that damn cutter?"
