"Rethinking Lincoln" by Donald Livingston -

Although Abraham Lincoln has been regarded as the greatest President in American history, numerous historians and philosophers have a very different perspective to share. Although it is true that Lincoln "freed the slaves," there is much more about Lincoln that many don't know. In fact, many have said that much of the turmoil in our society today all started because of Lincoln.

Please take the time to listen to ALL OF THESE LECTURES. There are a lot of them, but the information is very important and well researched. Like anything else though, you should still think about the information critically and draw your own conclusions. You should also do your own research on these topics.

Other than the picture for each video, these presentations are entirely audio, so you don't need to watch anything. You could record the lectures to tape or CD and then listen to them in your car or wherever it's convenient for you.

  • 'Native soil'... for real? (¬.¬) By that logic, everyone should've left the continent...

  • If I was draged out of my country by slave traders and forced to serve others in a strange country. Then somebody comes along and abolishes Slavery I couldn't wait to return to my home country.

  • Deo Vindice-Free Dixie from the imperious clutches of Uncle Sam, the real Whore Of Babylon.

  • Um, yeah. He never said that the South agreed at the time that slavery was wrong. You're FLAT OUT LYING about that.

You don't think slavery is wrong. If you did, you'd say "Slavery is wrong," and you wouldn't support even MORE years and decades of it. Obviously.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks

let me enlarge that quote:- 03.15 "Remember the question is not weather slavery is right or wrong, most agree it's wrong, the question is what to do with these people, the answer of Oregon was 'you keep them out'.....03.48 another possibility was you send them some place else, you deport them, you free them then you deport them, this was Lincoln' solution... and it was a very popular solution"

04.20 "The earliest defences of slavery came from the north not the south."

  • Yeah, no shit. Most people TODAY do agree it's wrong. You're the exception to that---you don't think slavery is wrong.

He NEVER SAID the South agreed that slavery was wrong. You're FLAT OUT LYING about that.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks

03.15 I'll quote it:- "Remember the question is not weather slavery is right or wrong, most agree it's wrong" QUOTE FROM THIS LECTURE!

  • He never said that the South agreed that slavery was wrong. You're just lying about that. Hell, even you don't think slavery is wrong!

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks

    "I seem?" NO! YOU IMAGINE.

"The South did not agree that slavery needed to end. You're just lying about that." Sorry I was quotting this lecture if you want to accuse, Donald Livingston of lying you can do that, but I was referencing him and this lecture we are watching.

Sorry I thought it was all men are created equal.

And as donald livingstone suggests, the question was not about ending slavery they already agreed slavery was wrong, it was what to do with them?
