  • Soooo beautiful.

Can anyone tell me if QE2 was faster on steam turbines or on the diesel?

  • She is faster on the diesels (130,000hp) than she was on the turbines (110,000hp) but both could get her to New York at average speeds of over 31 knots.

  • Thanks. Imagine 130,000 actual horses. No. I can't. But that would have to be a big shed to keep 'em in. Maybe the size of three Wembley Stadiums?

QE2's lines are almost 'agonisingly' beautiful. I liked her best before they added new cabins on top of the original superstructure, but she's still fine looking.

  • Good to see as I missed chance to see on day!THANKS!

  • mate

    super vid...wel done

  • Great videos. I was stood on the deck below the bridge and we staid outside till we left you.

It was such a good sail away. It looks like you guys had as much fun as we did. Even if it was freezing cold. LOL
