Thanks. Imagine 130,000 actual horses. No. I can't. But that would have to be a big shed to keep 'em in. Maybe the size of three Wembley Stadiums?
QE2's lines are almost 'agonisingly' beautiful. I liked her best before they added new cabins on top of the original superstructure, but she's still fine looking.

Can anyone tell me if QE2 was faster on steam turbines or on the diesel?

She is faster on the diesels (130,000hp) than she was on the turbines (110,000hp) but both could get her to New York at average speeds of over 31 knots.
