Little Jerry and the Monotones Mad

Little Jerry and the Monotones sing a song about what makes them really Mad (very angry, very very angry)! They deal with this volatile emotion by embracing their anger and allowing it to manifest in ways that allow them to get past whatever made them mad in the first place.

This song was on the first episode of this show that I had ever seen, around 1971, right after we got our first UHF TV. The first thing I remember seeing was Big Bird on a rocket in outer space and he sees a cow. Then he says, "I guess we must be on the Milky Way!" Right then and there I didn't care that I was already 16 years old, I was going to watch this show. My oldest daughter, now 31, watches these old clips and tells me, "Daddy, I was born too late!"

Little Jerry wrote this song after he found out that Kermit wanted Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem (who opened for the Monotones in the late 60's) to be the "Muppet Show" house band.
