Every act of prohibition throughout history ends in colapse. Smoking bans will be no different.

  • India has gone today. 120 million people living under junk science-based neo-puritan tyranny. Still, places that have had the Ban for some time are seeing the economic damage they cause and it's true - opposition is growing across the globe. Within a decade, perhaps even less, this Nazi-spawned ideology will be nothing more than a footnote in the history books as more people see the junk science behind passivrauchen. And good riddance!

  • Well done!!! Bravo!! Stanton Glantz is whining about being labeled as a Nazi? Wah. If the shoe fits.. Propaganda peddlers right out of their playbook. We've got a few goodies up our sleeves in the U.S. Stay tuned, Hairy!

  • Nevada has fallen from their lying, hate-filled clutches now. Stanton must be weeping like a little girl now. The murdering bastard.

  • thats right Ohio- he's even posted it in the BMJ.

  • hay stanton, need a cigariette

  • I so hope that Uncle Stanton finds these, and under my nom de plume, I can say "Stanton Glantz, fuck off". In fact, if this master of all things corrupt manages to find my true identity, I will say, "Stanton Glantz, fuck off". By the way, thanks Hairy x

  • Part 1-Wow that sounds hopeful Hairy, what a brave man you are. DTB do they ever learn from history? You would think so after the alcohol prohibition, now what did that acheive hmm corruption, speakeasies, black market, criminal gangs, a bit like what is happpening in Canada after spending millions on this "new experiment".

  • 1 in five smokers before the ban and 1 in 5 smokers after wasting millions and lining the pockets of criminals and police, making criminals out of normally good citizens (no-one)likes the legal government theft taxes,to punish those who use a legal product. We do have the power to use "smokers money" where it is welcome and that little cross in a box come voting time.We have people power

  • Of course, the antismoking movement was always destined to crumble. It always does. In American, the last state to repeal its tobacco prohibition was Kansas, in 1927. Economic disaster always follows prohibitons. Indeed, just as the prohibitons on alcohol on tobacco were no more than a footnote in history books, so this round of bans will be. Alas, if only the next generations will learn from history, then maybe they won't have to go through this mess in the next century. If only.
