Also, Teodora was under rated...she had the same exact dismount as Comeneci...but didn't receive much credit for it.

I like her much better.

Yeah, i think that she was under rated, she was one of the best gymnast in the '70, but still today a few people remember her name.

I think is one of my favorites old school gymnasts.

Wonderful tribute to a legend in the sport! Teodora was one of the greatest gymnasts Romania ever produced. She is still remembered by her many fans. ♥♥

Yes, Nadia certainly knew just what a competitor she had in Teodora--and there had been a time when Bela Karolyi, too, had thoughts that Teodora just might become the superstar. He once stated that it was Teodora's bad luck to have been sidelined due to injury or illness at some of the big preOlympic competitions including the 1975 European Championships where Nadia had then had a bit clearer sailing to get her routines in front of the international judgel.

Teodora was an AWESOME gymnast. It's just that it's hard to really shine when the sun is your teammate. This is a beautiful montage!

Thanks for this... she wasn't overshadowed in my mind... I have never forgotten her ... one of the stars of the games of 76.. she didn't need a gold to be remembered !

It's ironic to see how consistently Teodora was underscored and not getting her rightful place and that it was Nadia indeed who always gave Teodora full credit as a remarkable gymanst, calling her the only serious threat she ever faced, not Nelli Kim, Tourischeva or Korbut. By her own admission, Nadia came to be better only because of facing constantly Teodora as a competitor.

i belive that teodora and nadia had the same difficulty level .. but in defferent ways ... i also think she was much more prettier than nadia .. but i must dissagre with ppl not remembering her name ... she may not have had the same impact on the world as nadia did .. but she was known for her beauty and talent .. and on top of that everyone new she was nadia's best friend...

though it would have been nice to have them both get the same attention
