  • whats the difference between bump keys with first tooth being longer and the ones with first tooth being as short as the rest?

  • Keys that have the first (really, the last) peak filed to the same height should, in theory, work on multiple locks. For example, a 5 pin key that's been modified so pin 5 is the same height should work on a 6 pin lock. Hope I'm making some sense

  • My grandfather used to open just about any master lock with this technique but when we would ask about it he would just say " you have to learn it the hard way" Well he passed on in 2001 and we had his keys and now I remember there was a weird key that didn't fit anything, now after seeing this video I know what he did. I will try this out

  • should the bumps be all the same height on th M1 key

  • Grate work bro I have subscribed for you neat video!

  • do you have any coupon codes i could have?

  • Those ones turn bothways.

  • Omg, I can't believe this works! I used a screwdriver as my "hammer". Much easier than picking.

  • master #3 has an m1 keyway.

  • does that acctually work?

  • Think of billiards. The bump key taps all the key pins at the same time, they transfer their energy to the driver pins, and the driver pins jump momentarily up into the hull leaving the key pins in the plug, allowing you to turn the plug freely.

  • that's the point of a bump key... it makes the pins jump
