  • I would like to thank the people that commented with constructive remarks.

Issues such as PPE have been an ongoing problem and it is a culture we are trying to change.

I would challenge some commenters to post raw unedited video not set to the theme of rescue me so that we all may judge you as you have judged us.

Keep in mind that you are only seeing one side of the structure from one angle and you are hearing none of the fire ground radio traffic as you watch this.

    Stay Safe

  • the first in hose team made great time getting up there and getting good knock down. a great save!

  • Love the mountie bunker gear.

  • looks like they got pretty fast knock once the engine showed up.... strong work.

  • @ 3:15 i guess its your first due engine on scene to about 5:45 you were doing interior attack i think you guys done a good job at knocking that room down. I know that you possibly had a good fire load in the roof line right above that room, if not that is a good thing. Good job

  • I think it was a job well done, when the fire goes out the scene is safer. Less than 10 min and some aggressive fire fighters got a good fire knocked down. Could some things have been done different sure, but the same can be said for every fire scene every day. Keep up the aggression and work on the other stuff.

  • Excellent video, really shows that without water on it, a fire can brew up very quick.

My only question is, who were the early firefighters on the scene, seemingly with BA sets, but no hose line. If they had had even a small line, they could have done a lot of good.

Great to see the men hitting the fire internally at 6.23mins a great knock down.

    Well done.

    Take care guys.

  • I see the PPE deal has been addressed, but the bigger problem was the confusion at the beginning. The priority should have been to evacuate the residents, and give an all clear. Guys should have paired up and started evacuations. Somebody needed to clearly assume the I/C position and started those assignments. Looks like some training and experience might fix that. Good stop on the fire, looks like plenty of manpower and good positioning of the trucks on the positive side. Good vid.

  • Good attack and quick hit, only problem I see is a lack of organization, but as long as the fire gets put out and nobody gets hurt, it's all good.

  • For all you people complaining how long it took to get equipment there vs people this is a volenteer fire dept. the first people on scene did an excellent job at seeing the building was evacuated while the equipment got on scene. The ranking member with a radio also did the size up and ordered what equipment where thus the first engine going around the building and then the ladder truck pulling up.

The only thing I would have done differently was to smack the crap out of the guy in shorts.

  • american firefighters ?
