Michael Waldman, director of the Brennan Center for Justice, explains what "voter purging" is, why it needs to be reformed, and how the problem might be solved.
All I know is if I don't register myself, I don't expect to vote. I've filled out numerous registration forms from partisan vote registration organizations and not one was turned in.
People. We need to take care of ourselves. Corruption is EVERYWHERE!
I believe I was purged when I was a Democrat abroad in 2000. It was so spooky, it took literally years to get back on the rolls -- this time as an Independent. The first six years I was abroad, I got absentee ballots, and in 2000, they stopped, although I hadn't moved. I heard this happened to a lot of Democrats abroad.
