Man's best friend. Thinking of getting a puppy?

Dogs, cats and other animals feel emotions just like we do. Bringing a pet into your house means that you've decided to bring a living breathing being with feelings into your life. I've seen happiness, joy, love and excitement in the eyes of animals and I've seen fear, pain, loneliness and hurt. Please act responsibly when thinking of getting a pet. They didn't ask for you, you ask for them. If you cared about your puppies, would you sell it without knowing it had a good home? Would you sell it to a "middle man" to sell the dog to who knows who? Where do pet shop puppies come from?

Please get your puppies from reputable breeders who care about their dogs and breeds. Or provide a loving home to one of the lonely pets in shelters or animal rescue organizations who try to find loving homes for animals once wanted then deserted. If you are thinking about breeding your dog, then please consider where will those puppies be in a year or more.

I still can't get over how there are so many irresponisble people out there willing to get a dog only to abuse it, leave it at a shelter, or even let the animals die... Whenever I look at my dog, I can't bare thinking that their are dogs out there just like her who are living and will die in horrible living conditions...

I think what gets me down most is thinking about how some puppies are even born into bad situations, only to die, and living only sad lives without experiencing happiness.

yes ,, the animals in this world need our help. where can we get started to help them? please give a direction .humans can be cruel,and heartless , dogs are the animals that love humans/ owners more then themselves.but many do not know or appreciate them.

What a thoughful video and you are so right about REALLY thinking when buying animals - they need love and care, just like children and we wouldnt abandon them like we do animals. Hopefully if this saves the life of one animal or makes someone think twice, its done its job. Beautiful Clay Aiken song attached to it makes it especiallt poignant.

People really do need to think before getting any pet - they are a commitment - but the love they return is so worth it.
