  • yes I am in the process of installing the thermometer above the reflux condenser. I think we are having reflux rain down on the thermowell causing the lower temp. reading.

  • hey i would like to buy one of these but wouldn't mind actually picking one up in person..pay with cash. I live in pa so im guessing it about a 10 hour drive. just wondering if something like this is possible....I will be off work until next monday

  • Is this really economical? Given the price of electricity, what ever your mash is made of, etc; etc; what price per gal?

  • @monkeyboy8me Ethanol is liqour. ;)

  • im trying to make ethanol ,how do you make that?

  • @kindrixxx my generator runs of gas. i think ethonol would work. then again if it came down to it in an emergency situation open flame would be king. burn some wood with a mesh grill to set the still on gtg. getting the water out of the ethonol is the trick. i found the best way to do this " in theory" is dynamic seperation when you mix ethonol with some gasoline. you add water drop by drop untill you see the water drop out of suspension from the ethonal and seperate.

  • @dreamssofblue and what would you run the generator off?! 10l of deisel to make 1l of ethanol. clever

  • i think this product is a must have if you can possibly afford one. i have seen other countries ration fuel and huge waiting lines to get only a couple gallons. during ww2 Germany had farmers making fuel out of potatoes to help provide fuel to the millitary. in a emergency a guy could power one off a generator. maybe make gas for a chainsaw provided you have two stroke oil allready or make a fuel for camp stoves, lanters even small amounts of fuel for a vehicle. i need one of these things.

  • continued. If they have inspected your shop i think (for myself) it might be best just to distill water and not mess with the fuel. If you could let me know it would be appreciated.

  • I've done a lot of reading and i relieze it takes a while to get one but i talked to a kid on you tube and he said the federal field officers came to his house so much he knew them by name. It's hard to believe they have time to do that but you never know. On the fed's web site they say you will be asked questions over the phone but it doesn't say anything about them searchin your house(although they could). I see you have one and could you tell me if they ever have inspected you set-up?
