hello.
this is my XCM wii case i got for xmas .. it works fine .. most of the time, here is the problem when you turn the conosle on after it being off for a few hours or over night i turn it on to find this happening.
the wii console works fine all the time its just the lights on the xcm case which go strange sometimes

also attached is a pulsevu 2 chip and red slot light both combinating to one pretty funky wii !!

  • hey

I have the same problem. Everytime - after a few hours shut off - when I switch the wii on , the LCD starts counting from about 40°C to 99°C and then shuts off. When I restart now the wii immediately it works and displays a temperature of around 20°C. But anyway it's anoying and I'm gonna return it.

So do you guys keep the wii running (green or yellow light) twentyfour-seven??

  • hey, thanks for the comment i thought i was the olny one with this problem lol, i got my xcm case before xmas and i think its too late to return. no i dont keep it on 24/7 cos the light does get annoying. im gettinga new case soon anyway and will post up some vids when i do.

    Yep.

  • at least wii nerds arent sittin around and bieng lazy all day.The wii is active while the ps3 and 360 does is make you fatter and lazy.

  • I had the same problem but once it runs for a bit it works fine. no big deal.

  • umm duh

  • u all have dick in mouth disease you bunch of wii nerds!

  • will this void your warranty?(installing the case)

  • Update: I figured out why this happens:

It's not a fault. When you switch on, if the internals are 21C or higher, everything runs fine. If the internals start at 20C or lower, then the red lights come on and the digi readout is wacko. It happens because the Wii starts off too cold (the Hot Rock circuit is designed to run at room temp or above).

i.e. There is nothing wrong with the case :) (and it isn't a "faulty batch").

  • Same here. After a few hours shut off, upon booting it blinks red.

Turn off ---> Turn on and everything is fine.

Not too concerned about it tbh so I don't think I'll be returning mine (as everything works as it should when up and running).

    :)
