Amanda is an Arizona nurse who advocated for her patient, and was fired for her trouble. To add insult to injury, complaints were filed with the Arizona State Board of Nursing who has been stringing her along for the past 10 Months.

Please take a closer look and learn more about the situation. Her case sends a chilling message to other patient advocates that see situations but are hesitant to act due to the treatment of other nurses who have.

Visit: Twitter Hashtags #Nurseup or #AmandaTrujillo, or Google her. Nurseup is also on Facebook :)

Thank you!

  • While I can see wanting to give support to a nurse, in this case I don’t quite understand it. From the perspective of a patient and family member of several patients, all I see so far is a nurse engaging in suspicious behavior. For starters, from this nurse’s account, the entire episode began and ended during her work shift. Isn’t that part of her story right there a bit unsettling? I think it is.
