Mara Abramson is 17 years old from Ann Arbor, Michigan and will be attending Michigan State University in the fall. Having a deep sense for public and community service, Mara has spent much of her time volunteering with teens who are disabled or as part of a peer-to-peer counseling group.

Music has been a part of Mara's life for as long as she can remember which reached a climax in 2009 when Mara and her acappella group performed live at The Lincoln Center in New York City. Her outlook on life changed and connection to Israel strengthened after she visited the country for the first time with Young Judea in 2010.

Mara is very eager to come back to Israel in order to bolster her understanding of the region and her identity through the medium of music and "...hopes Hallelujah will help bring Jews of all different belief systems together through their love of music".
