At long last I finally had a chance to do some yarn extensions when my husband was home to run the video camera. This is a short video showing how I anchor the yarn into a two-strand rope twist. I used two strands of yarn, folded over, and anchored the hair on the fold of the yarn.

  • does it matter if youdo it on wet or dry hair

  • @MIsszNita i always do it on damp hair because i want the moisturizing product that i add to the hair to seal in the water and protect the hair from drying out while the yarn is in. :-)

  • @rorychvc okay thank you . so you probably let it air dry a little bit before styling, Right?

  • @MIsszNita i usually wash and detangle the night before and style the next morning. the hair is still damp, but if it's too dry then i will spray with water. but yeah, towel dry would be good, not sopping wet. ;-)

  • I love your videos, but I have to admit that I get emotional every time I watch one! I can't read your blog or watch a video without crying. I think it is because you breakdown so many stereotypes and assumptions most people have about hair texture and skin color. The truth is that most women, black or white, don't take the time and care that you have when it comes to our daughters hair. Thank you for sharing.

  • @embracingnatural thank you, that is so sweet of you to say. ;-)
