The company I was working for, at that time, was involved in the marketing campaign for Jim Carrey's "The Grinch That Stole Christmas". While driving to work one day, I heard this great version of the theme song, felt it could work really well for the campaign. I contacted the radio station, who informed me it was Dweezil Zappa, performing live at their Christmas show. I contacted Barking Pumpkins, his Dad's record company, explaining why I was calling and would like to get a copy of the track. Much to my surprise, Dweezil called me a couple of days later, explaining he never recorded it, only performed it live. Whoever, he would be willing to go into the studio and record it. Was thrilled when he invited me to The Muffin Utility Research Kitchen, Frank's studio, to watch him record some bits and pieces. All the instrumentation was played by Dweezil on guitar, his brother Ahmet did the vocals. It's pretty cool, enjoy! The video, I just threw together, it's really about the tune!!
