This was made for my history project, we went to a mall and protested abortion, seeing what other peoples reactions would be. We wanted to see if our 1st amendment was being violated or not. It was a lot of fun and a very interesting expirence :)
@DeadlyChinchilla yes we knew that the mall was private property and all. we just picked out that as a place to do it. also they didnt know about the camera, it was a hidden camera lol.
Interesting project... but generally, the mall is not a "protest site." Sounds wierd, but the mall has property rights, and the right to control the environment for its guests, so being kicked out (which it seemed like a really *nice* kicking out if they let you walk around filming still) is very doubtful on the "violating free speech" issue.
Yes, even the outside sidewalk is their property.
Freedom to speak does not mean "freedom to say and do anything anywhere," after all. ^_^
