The Pamplemousse beats grade I winner Square Eddie in the 2009 grade II San Rafael stakes at Santa Anita racetrack. Purchased by Alex Solis Jr. and ridden by his dad Alex Solis...this guy has been a favorite of ours since he breezed at the Ocala March two year old sale...narrated by Larry Zap...enjoy

I was watching Jockey and Pamplemousse was on it, I think it said that he was as fast as a train or a car, idk. But it was a real bummer that he couldn't race against Bob Baffert's horse. (Don't know how to spell Bob's last name sorry if its misspelled).

Some of the things you think you see on a gray or roan horse is actually an optical illusion due to their coloring. He did have a high stepping way about him which I thought might make him a turf horse but not now cause he got injured and retired.

I'm really excited that this horse will be racing in the Kentucky Derby! I have my wonders though, I still can't decide between this horse and Old Fashioned and Pioneerof The Nile. They all have their qualities and cerainly like this one.
