  • Frank Frazetta , Alex Ross , Mike Hoffman , Steven Hughs , Art Adams , Charles Vess , Joe-Adam-Andy Kubert , Tim & Greg Hildebrandt , Ken Kelly , Bernie Wrightson , Kevin Stokes , Frank Brunner , Roel , Joe Quasader , Alex Horley , these and many others make me happy.

  • The director of the xmen movie was so stupid, because he didn't put the costume for wolverine the way Alex Ross designed. Alex Ross' wolverine uniform is sooooo cool.

  • GREAT VIDEO!! I can just imagine how the video might look before it was uploaded it to youtube. I love his work! His style, and his personally makes you want to know more about him. I think Alex Ross showed us another way about how to draw comics compared to the traditional way like Jack Kirby, or even a Todd Mcfarlane. He's an artist in his own right.

  • nice video, people at my school tell me i will be a comic book artist some day,i am truely inspired by the greatest comic book artist that ever lived, alex ross.

  • K-PAX!

  • @Rodimus78 Thats fine being late. As I mentioned below in the mid to early 90's monthly comics became a cover contest, the stories were semi bad to horrible. Thats why I'll stick to Graphic Novels. On the Watchmen I'm just gonna have to agree to disagree with you. I believe it was the best story ever writtin in Comics. With KC and the DKR coming in a very close second. Both great stories as well. But yes on Artwork alone nobody touches Ross' work in Marvels or in Kingdome come, it's the best.

  • @Rodimus78 True but I worked in a comic bookwarehouse during this exact period. The downfall of comics. and while I understand your point. DC did pimp Superman nearly if not more than Batman. They killed him offfor 1. Then our company had to order 2extra warehouses when they released that White Bag piece of trash, then the 4 seperate Superman books all within a month. Talk about trashing a character to try and make money. But yea I remember Batman "Goth", Batman "The Hill", Batman "the ect, ect.

  • @Nola213 I just wish everbody get what it means & I get what it means & that's why I disregarded DKR. It was right about BM, but it was wrong about SM, it was wrong about WW, it was wrong about Shazam, it was wrong about JLA.... it was wrong about DCU.

  • @Nola213 I know this b/c I used to think like that. I gave Alan Moore my respect for trying to correct this problem w/ his lost 'TotS' project. Even though it didn't get made, he did remade Leifeld's Supreme & that's honorable. KC is incredibly honorable b/c it's an apology to DCU. Alex Ross & Mark Waid made me realize what DCU really is & what it really means. That's why I came back to it b/c of this book.

  • @Nola213 The result of their existence spawned an atmosphere of nitty/gritty splatterfests we saw in the 90s & beyond like Elektra, Cable, Image Comics' Savage Dragon, Spawn,LadyDeath,Vampirella, countless Bat-Cash-Porn, etc. which made the youth to believe that Superman, Wonder Woman, GL, JLA, the DCU were obsolete except Gotham City. THEY DON'T GET them, but they get Batgod & that's a huge problem.

  • @Nola213 I didn't mean to be 3 months late replying. I had to be sure to explain correctly why I said KC made me disregard DKR...I said it b/c I've felt it's an 'eye-opener' to what's wrong w/ the comics culture. While I think Watchmen & DKR were good stories, they were also hazards.

  • @Rodimus78 I own them both and have read both numerous times. There is no debate. As an artist myself; The painting work Ross uses in KC is far superior to the art style in TDKR(which is a style all it's own not to be overlooked, just cause it's sloppy,it fits well with the story). But both stories rank tied for 2nd behind The Watchmen as the Greatest stories in Graphic Novels, imo. However AR's artwork in KC is #1 out of the 3 by far.
