i just get cheap size 2 reeds.

Vandoren reeds are really inconsistent. V12, 56 or normal ones, theyre all too thin for me and my section. Should we try size 4? But i heard that the sound will be muffled

Respond to this video... And sorry I forgot to say thank you very much for all the help :D

@kathywilliams76 Ok it might get even better on a Backun barrel but the thing here is not equipment I think it's rather that I get fine throat tones on all the other reeds I have right now. It's just that this particular reed is good for everything except I need to put a lot of attention and more lip pressure(never bite though) than I like to focus those throat tones with it.

Hey @kathywilliams76. Umm... a lot of "proffesionals" use water instead of saliva, what are your inputs on that?

@irapperzx Water, saliva, each works perfectly well.

Sorry to bother with yet another question. Do you know what the problem might be with a reed that sounds good,is balanced on each sides and performs well with the register test, seals well with the mouthpiece and has a good staccato etc but has a stuffy throat Bb,A and Ab notes ?

@klarinetta Go to my instructional videos playlist, there is a video on getting better sounding throat tones in there. That and get a Backun fatboy barrel. Free advertising for Morrie Backun there...
