Small boat (Bayliner 175) going quickly over waves and wake shot at the end. Speed is around 38-40+ mph, waves are not more than sea state 2. The waves are not big but travelling at this speed they do have an effect (reason for the shaky camera)

  • @thebigmann25 I have never gone full throttle but at 90% throttle and 2 people and nearly full fuel we were hitting around 40-42 mph (according to a GPS not the speedometer to get more accurate results) i reckon with 50 kg less fuel, a 80kg person out the boat and the 30kg outboard perched right on the stern (weight at the stern has a big effect) that at 90% throttle we would be hitting 45mph, so full throttle maybe around 46-48 mph lightly loaded, 45 or so mph loaded.

  • what is the top speed of your boat

  • no the boat was not porpoising, it was just an unsteady hand of the person filming, so the actual movement is exagerated.

  • that water looked pretty calm, you probably had your trim too high. i have the same boat.
