Exodus International is an umbrella group representing 150 ex-gay ministries in 17 different countries that include some of the following:

National Association for the Research and Therapy of Homosexuality, Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays, Love in Action, Courage UK, Courage International, and True Freedom Trust are some of the organizations and groups whose objectives include helping people attempt to change or control their same-sex attraction.

Some ex-gay organizations consider reparative therapy to be a useful and necessary tool to treat homosexual desire. The medical and scientific consensus is that reparative therapy is not effective and is potentially harmful. The American Psychiatric Association issued a critical statement backed by numerous other mainstream medical organizations, which stated: "There is simply no sufficiently scientifically sound evidence that sexual orientation can be changed." The statement went on to say that positions espoused by ex-gay organizations "are not supported by the science" and that they "create an environment in which prejudice and discrimination can flourish."

Ex-gay groups assert that the scientific community has taken its stances on homosexuality due to political, and not scientific, considerations.

"Families who embrace, accept, or try to ignore homosexual sin issues are never healthy. Homosexuality is dangerous to the well being of the family and America."

I wrote the words and sang the song myself.

Organizations like Exodus make me very, very angry and when one of my subscribers suggested I do a vid on them, I jumped at the chance. I should be making more on the subject soon.

Right now I'm still in the midst of my antiScientology thing, but I have many interests and this one is a longtime one.

I am not here to fight.it is no matter to me if you are gay or athiest, that is your right to believe . i am a straight male christian & i find it to be offensive, that schools are teaching my children about gay lifestyles and evolution. i have had friends that were gay or athiest before , they understood there is a line that goes both ways that one does not cross. My goodness, your ignorance is showing. Go look up the history of the ex-gay movement, see how many scandals and failed attempts are. Learn how the therapy is potentially damaging to the individual- they shouldn't try to change who they are, they will fail. Jack McIntyre, I think, failed and committed suicide- he was so sad about not being able to change.
