  • thats really nice.

also, when i go past the place, i always see your green monster thing made of glass. you guys have a video of you making that?

  • Fern Green Tower was created by Dale Chihuly as a gift for The Corning Museum of Glass in 2000. It weighs 1,400 pounds and is made up of 500 individually blown glass elements attached to a steel structure. Unfortunately, we do not have a video of its creation.

  • @RoPWU

he usually works in teams of at least six, and they're all very skilled so it doesn't take quite as long as you may think

  • i sat and stared at this piece for about forty five minutes last time i was there. Interesting to see it in its "backstage" form. Go Karen Lamonte!

  • chihuly hasn't blown glass for 30 years. It was his legion of employees that did the fern green tower.

  • @corningmuseumofglass

would of been nice to see that being made. must of took him forever to make it.
