This is a recording I got from the Library of Congress Call number: AFC 1939/001 3556a1.
It is a recording of Clifford Reed, Johnny Mae Medlock, and Julia Griffin recorded 1939 at the Florida state farm's women's dorm, Raiford Florida. It was recorded by John and Ruby Lomax.
The picture is one I found on the internet, said it was the front gate of the Raiford prison, not sure what year it was taken

There is about 20 or so seconds of white noise at the beginning.

Lyrics:
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child
Lord, Lord, I know my time ain't long
Lord, Lord, I know my time ain't long

Sometimes I feel like a feather in the air
Sometimes I feel like a feather in the air
Sometimes I feel like a feather in the air
Lord, Lord, I know my time ain't long
Lord, Lord, I know my time ain't long

Sometimes I feel like I haven't got a friend
Sometimes I feel like I haven't got a friend
Sometimes I feel like I haven't got a friend
Lord, Lord, I know my time ain't long
Lord, Lord, I know my time ain't long

Sometimes I feel like a motherless child
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child
Lord, Lord, I know my time ain't long
Lord, Lord, I know my time ain't long
