I strongly recommend making a guild bank for yourself (use an alt if you're already in a guild on your real characters/mains). Go to Ironforge or Stormwind (alliance) or Orgrimmar (horde) and randomly invite guildless people, preferably during peak hours, to get your 10 signatures to make a guild. You can also pay 1-10 gold per signature but I really do not like doing that. Once your guild is made, kick everyone out except yourself, have a friend invite your other alts in and give them admin privaledges to your bank (your alts that is) and buy some guild bank slots for 250 or 500 gold each. So far I've only need 3 out of 6 bank guild vault slots but it comes in handy and saves time muling instead of mass mailing yourself 1000's of items.
