Where did you read that Yes hated Numan? They weren't "scared" to use electronic music as Geoff Downes uses the CMI Fairlight synthesizer, the latest synthesizer out at the time and one that many artists used during this period, during this performance and Trevor Horn went to create the band Art of Noise.
