The movie ANNA of 1951[directed by the Late Alberto Lattuada] was a masterpiece of the Italian cinema.I posted this video in an attempt to repopularize this wonderful film [ANNA] because it has become largely unknown among current generations.I hope that more people after viewing this video would start searching to obtain the complete movie which is a masterpiece of art.I posted here the other famous song from this film ,it is titled (non dimenticar)performed by Silvana Mangano. This song was sang by various artists under the same title, however, the famous Portuguese singer, the Late Amalia Rodriguez sang it under the title (sempre e sempre amor)in 1953.

  • I still have my 78 MGM of Silvana

that i bought in 1951, i would play it

every day when i got home from school,

i was only 10 years old but i loved it,

& i saw Sophia talking to Vittorio at

    1:03min. into the clip.

    thanks for the share

  • Man--I wish they still had clubs and shows like this! The karaoke and disc jockeys in clubs passing as "entertainment" today all suck...

  • Beautiful noir cinematography. And Vittorio Gassman is bad either ;-)

  • opps, forgot I mentioned Sophia Loren once before,,it happens when you get old!

  • Take a very close look at the waitresses with the crazy white wig at the bar,,it's Sophia Loren!

Saluti carissimi! Maurizio.

  • Yes, Pawling Station in New York next to her son.

  • Silvana Mangano non si può dimenticar!

  • It was fantastic to see this after all these many years. If you look closely,at the very last shot in the clip, the very pretty waitress in The Blue Grotto Cafe, is a very young SOFIA LOREN! She is on the very far right side of the screen. Her beauty is unmistakable even at that early age! She's only about 17 years old in this film, she appeared in it right after she finished shooting Quo Vadis for MGM.

  • Stunningly beautiful black and white photography, at least as far as I can tell seeing it on a few square inches of computer monitor. I'd love to watch the film in a theatre, or at least on DVD.
