@YoureAlwaysRight Violence has occured between human beings since the beginning, combat sports give an individual the opportunity to vent aggression without inflicting it on society. Citing film, video games or televised martial arts competition as promoting violence in society is short sighted and veers away from the real root cause which is simply human nature, sad but true.

Why do some videos have 2 minutes of black at the end? Weird.

...used to like mma. watched Royce in '93 and the others back then. One of my favorites was Belfort. I've seen a lot of it and a lot of life as well. My opinions on violence and what promotes it as well as how poeple become desensitized to it are coming from someone who used to like combat 'sports'. Not just an uninformed person but someone who has seen and delt with a lot of this sort of stuff. I was unaware of the mma anti-bullying programs that you mentioned. I think that is a great step.

@YoureAlwaysRight I see. In that case, know that MMA is consensual and more beneficial, unlike animal fighting events (You should get them to ban pokemon then ahaha). Rampage would be a construction worker if he didnt fight in the octagon! MMA promotes self defense, which leads to more people being safe. Our society at least needs to know the capacity for violence. In the case of a chaotic uprising, we'd be a lot safer that way. Chances are slim, but not impossible. We too hope it never happens

@CommanderYuan lol. saw my comment eh.lol im not perfect. I still think it promotes violence and I do not think it is good for our society. Yeah, and I thot about the non-violence I try promote and still made that comment. oops Im human, and jus bcause we like certain things does not mean it is good. To get high. prbly feels good to some...but its not a good thing. I used to like mma, still slip back sometimes. That doesnt mean that its a good thing though, just means that I fell of the wagon :)

@YoureAlwaysRight LMAO alright mr. Righteous. I think you already back on your own logic as a Cro Cop fan. So, you got front row tickets to the next DREAM fight son? I might want in >>

@YoureAlwaysRight By the way I only agreed that we shouldnt be promoting violence. But MMA, while violent isnt one to desensitize. Renowned fighters, are human in the end. Even during these matches, they have events like UFC's Fight For the Troops. Many renowned fighters promote anti-bully programs! these fighters are preventing violence like you are. Except for a few fighters who I have very little respect for. I'm not saying your view is wrong, but I believe you misperceive MMA and its values

@YoureAlwaysRight Absolutely. On the contrary. If you train with a martial artist at a young age, the teacher makes a bond with his student and takes on the responsibility of guiding him/her on the right path. So many kids who grew up in rough neighborhoods had their lives straightened out by going to a fightschool. If the kid somehow does something messed up with what he's taught, people will ask who taught him. The schools understand what theyre getting into. Here, watch?v=1HfaUCCJ4_M
