@CDiddy51 : Just because they're moving to Santa Clara doesn't mean they wont still be the SF 49ers. Giants and Jets play in New Jersey. They're still the New York Giants and New York Jets. The owner York already said that they will always be the SF 49ers and will never change the name even if they move to Santa Clara. You do know that Santa Clara is only a 30 min drive out of SF, right?

@CDiddy51 We've gotten away from the real point that started this mess: You stated that Largent's #'s are comparable to Rice's.
All you have really done is try to knock Rice. It isn't working.
From now on, try to actually prop up Largent. Somehow. Or you will be rendered defeated by history.
I'll help you out:
Seifert was only an o.k. coach at best.
Dave Krieg is the #13 qb in yardage. That's pretty good.
Largent's supporting cast was way better than you think.

@CDiddy51 Maybe Holmgren was simply referring to players that he was the head coach of? He was never Rice's head coach. You stated that Rice was the best player of all time, in your opinion, earlier. Since you are obviously the only real football mind out of everyone in this strand, we'll all accept the fact that Rice was a better football player than Walter Jones.

@vanmac96 Well its not, plus like I said earlier, Mike Holmgren has on many occasions praised Walter Jones as being the best player hes ever coached, and he coached Jerry Rice while in San Fran and in Seattle.
