I live in Lincoln on 1st street and Joiner Parkway and I did not hear the news that anything was going on until 7:30 on Tuesday night. I knew that something was going on when my husband was told that he could not get home because all the roads had been blocked off. well he got here and we left with nothing. but other residents were standing around waiting for this thing to blow. wow I wonder if they have any idea what 500,000 of propane would do.
@Reddhedd6 So you love your family right? You want to be well away from this if the worst happens. Or maybe you do not. That tank car or pieces of it might be nice decor in your living room. The inconvenience is far better than than the possibilities.
The issue my family has is that we're outside the blast zone, across the street from the "safe house" on Joiner, which is, again, "SAFE," and we can't go back to our apt. because it's "UNSAFE". Somebody needs to get their story straight.
At least he spelled evacuation correctly in the tags.
My sister was called to Lincoln to help out at the evacuation center set up by the Red Cross. (I told her she needed to add a large cape to her go kit so that she could make a grander entrance.)
