I strongly disagree with that. Gus is a very cliche player. Don't get me wrong, he is a MASTER of those cliches and can make very tasty riffs and solos, but Jason was and is anything but cliche.

@D1vid3By0 Yeah I checked his newer stuff and it's heavy. And not only that, he has like cool abstract phrasing that I haven't heard before. I really like it but I don't think I love it yet : /

Yea man! Not only is he a sick shredder but he also shows a lot versatility and that he isn't just a tech death guitarist. Fucking awesome playing, I'm starting to like it more than Loomis's Zero Order Phase. If you're into the 80's shred thing check out Tony MacAlpine he is pretty good and now he is getting out of that shred fusion era and back into some heavier stuff.
