A martial art is only as good as the fighter who practises it. I've been doing savate for half a year now and KB for 3 years, both rather regularly, i.e. twice a week on average. During my last Savate training session, I've come across a guy who's been doing Kung Fu for 6 years, once a week. He was no real match for me.
This art looks very powerful but incredibly full of holes. It seems focused on powerful kicks and punches but the fighters look off balance the majority of the time...
you can not balance well when some one knows really well how to attack your knees and this with the tip of his boot and sweep you of the floor, when you wear boots and kick with them that is how you should fight
that's weird. you've made the exact opposite statement most people usually make about savate. most say it's to focused on combinations & footwork, but lacking in power.... hmm

Savate fighters have perfect balance, this style is all about balance movement and speed actually

I practice white eyebrow kung fu exclusively.
