  • wow, very good, JW, have you ever done the handel viola concerto in b minor

? its a very nice piece, just for future references..

  • @indiandude786 i have never played the handel, but i have heard it and it is quite lovely! i'm sure i'll end up playing it at some point seeing as violists don't have a very large repertoire...! thank you :)

  • Okay, is that a real pianist in the background?

  • @jeana7771 haha yes, does it not sound real? lol its my mom :)

  • what edition are you using here? or did you just change the bowings yourself? cause I like your bowings better! you sound great btw:)

  • @saxyviolist thanks! i changed the bowings myself haha so i can't exactly recommend which edition to use since none of them have these exact ones, as far as i know.

  • @sarahmichellegreene bows are great and you are more close to Telemann: he was a violist and violinist himself - many of these pieces he wrote for his own tours when he was young

  • @jeana7771 this is just mindblowing! I am a Telemann researcher and I've heard quite some interpretations of this beautiful(very first ever) viola concerto: ok to go very strict off course there R some corners you can go around better but in general you are very talented Sarah!!! the piano needs tuning(I am a piano tuner and composer)

  • Lovely performance! Will enjoy following your career!

  • It sounds good, but because of the style you need the middle value notes to be shorter, not too staccato but shorter and detached. By middle value notes, I mean the quavers (because it is mostly in semi's). Usually it would be the crotchets which are shortened, but in this case the quavers serve the same role.

  • On the comment that Jeana sai i like the bowing just as much, We use it here in South Africa

  • @sarahmichellegreene

It sounds fantastic--my daughter's playing this for her recital this summer, so I'm trying to learn the accompaniment and it's really hard for me. I wish I could have your mom play for my daughter! =)
