With all due respect, In 1983 they were known as MAU, actually the 22MEU, was the 22 MAU, whom before that was the 32 MAU. How do I know that, simple I was a member. As for Seal Team Six, Sir I do not believe you were alive then, take it from us that were, they gave their lives during that invasion.
BTW if you read back through the comments you will see comments from the Son of a Member of Seal Team 6 Kevin, and the uncle and nephew of Kenneth also from Seal Team 6 Please don't insult the memory of these men by stating their team was not involved.
I wa sthe combat air controller on the USS Clifton Sprague that operated with Seal Team Six. They were there, minus the ones that died on a bad insert in rough seas.
