karelian bear dog vs bear

Acually this is a Russo European lika bear dog almost like the karelian bear dog just tad more aggresive. I will be breeding him this summer with a purebred karelian bear dog. If anyone is interested please keep me informed as i can do the same when the time comes. For the record this dogs father came from russa trained to go after bear,tiger, and wild boar and he is burebred russo european lika.

You sure it is an REL and not a KBD. REL's have more white whereas a KBD is predominantely White. Just askin.

Yes hitch is REL as his father is pure bread with papers. He doesn't have much white on him but his brother is black and white. Hitch showed promising signs of a good dog since he was born. He had a attitude on him like he can take on the world lol. He was by far the most aggresive dog in its littre and that to me was what i was looking for. He is as friendly as the nicest dog you'll ever meet and once he feels threatend by ANY other animal look out his blood line takes over..

Thanks and hes a male 1 1/2 years old and he has been up against 6 bears now and 1 coyote or wolf. He is one of a kind . The bears that come by the house is always at night so can never get it on video. Dog fearless well attack anything that show to be a threat. He has a little scare on his neck fighting the wolf or coyote whatever it was he held hes own and the animal ran away as he continued to chase it..

I haven't heard anything yet about the infamous Amish puppy mills cranking out Karelians. At least not yet. I certainly haven't seen any in the pet stores. At least not yet.

That's it as far as I'm concerned. Karelians are white and black. REL's are black and white. That's...that's about it as far as I'm concerned. It's all pollyticks. The Russkies didn't want THEIR dogs to sport a Finnish name. Dr. Vladimir Beregovoy has pretty much proven these references to the RELs being crossed with the mythical "Utschak Sheepdog" are bogus.

My little Tyvek was bred in Kallipel Montana. We got him off the plane in December. The breeder kept her livestock kenneled outdoors year-round in the high country blizzards. The Karelians/RE Laikas are fairly short-coated compared to the Elkhounds but their undercoat gets thick as all get-out during winter. Hee! Hee! Little Tyvek's coat was so thick that winter he looked downright roly-poly. He's only really happy in sub-zero cold. A gun can't watch your back for you.

PLease give a care to All those being killed , due to you and others breeding and where they end up ! There are so many suffering and being killed that are already born, their is nothing wrong with them!!! They are pure blood lines, Great at what they do, live to work, do not deserve this and need to be rescued from Many Places!!! Try to see beyond yourself and look at what is going on with this breed!! PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING !!!!

i'm i bit interested, i live in the extreme north of canada, how does the breed do with -40c temps years round, I know spitz dogs are bred for those temps but some are better than others, i don't really have an issue with black bears but fuckin polar bears.....ya i need a good dog, and a bigger gun
