I had my umbilical hernia repaired Thursday and had it for at least 10 years, the doctor said it was pretty good size one too.. I didn,t feel too bad after surgery, I went home the same day and starting playing video games on the computer..

just found out about 2 months ago that I have a hernia, an enormous one according to my doctor. when I lay down and partically sit up I have a giant "egg" protrude from my stomach, about a foot long and 6" wide, pretty gross...looks like I am pregnant. Worse thing is I have had this "thing" for 8 1/2 years. When I was in the hospital with gall bladder issues I had asked a doctor what it was and he said it was fat...well, he is a dumbass. Going in Monday to see a surgeon... I AM SO EXCITED!!

I had it done 5 days ago. Had pain getting up and walking for 2 to 3 days. But the pain medicine and ice packs help a lot. I feel about 90 percent 5 days later. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
James always has an outie belly button but it popped out a little bit when he was doing some sports. It was bothersome but not painful. He needed the surgery so he could contine an active lifestyle. Otherwise, is could have been even more painful if it completely popped out! We wanted to take precautions. It was a painful recovery but he was back on his feet within a couple of days!! Normal life after 3wks!

it was bothersome and his "outie" started to pop out. i might burst if he did any sporting activities.
