I'm not sure who Danica Patrick's idols were when she was growing up, but it's a fairly safe bet that Michele Mouton was one of them. A woman who won in her class at Le Mans, a woman who won the Pikes Peak hillclimb, a woman who won four WRC Rallys and a woman who so very nearly won the 1982 World Rally Championship, in the Group B era no less. 'Respect' is too small a word for this lady's accomplishments. A 20th century Joan of Arc, if you will. :-)

I was born in the mid sixties, and i was following all her news. She was and still the number 1 Rallye female driver of all time.At the 80's, i fall in love with her because she was the most aggressive and sexiest driver at that time.

Watching her drive it reminded me of watching Colin McRae when he was at Subaru. Its good to see that there are female drivers in most forms of motor sports, especially ones like her that can perform so well and not make excuse or blame others for accidents or mechanical failures/issues. Would love to see more female drivers in rally, especially now with WRC being practically all Fords skeptics couldn't say dominate women had a superior car model like the Audi was back in the mid 80s
