180 out!!, i had the same probem with a small motorbike i purchased, it just would not run, also the cam timing was 180 out, the previous owner swore he hadnt fiddled, lol, i didnt believe him :-)

@zx8401ztv yeah that is a very common problem, people put the cam in upside down and get their mechanical timing messed up, it will still run but then if they put the points lobe on assbackwards too then ignition timing is off, thats about the worst case scenario but with a little troubleshooting everything can be fixed

do you know if it would be the same for an 84 honda 200 big red?

@crownviclvr Big Reds and most every 1980's 3 Wheeler's use a CDI ignition which is a lot more reliable than the old point's system of spark advancement. The CDI is located on the head, right where the points are at on my ATC 90, and it is a magnet, instead of a lobe, that spins around on the end of the cam shaft advancing the spark. Thanks for watching and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask!

would this be the same as on a 200cc atc? i dont know much about them

@454jeepman The 200 atc's use CDI ignition and spark advance, not the primitive points and magneto system. CDI is much more reliable and was used on most atc's after the 70's
