Note: I resolved this with a change in my video driver configuration for the Catalyst drivers. I turned everything in the "Gaming" 3D Application Settings area to application specified, and turned off Triple buffering in OpenGL.
Looks fixed. And my frame rate jumped up.
A few days ago for reasons I can not track down, Minecraft suddenly started putting line boxes around objects. This is a very small Fraps capture of the errors and lines I keep seeing. Any suggestions on possible fixes.
I have tried the following to resolve this:
Reinstalled ATI drivers
Reinstalled OpenGL
Minecraft tests: Cleared Minecraft 1.8.1 from roaming folder Downloaded Linux minecraft.jar file launcher. changed launching memory from 1024Meg to 4Gig frame rate tests, 60+ frames / sec at full screen 1080p. frame rate tests, 200+ in small window, 640 x 480
My System Configuration, 64bit Windows-7 Ultimate 16GB Ram
64bit Sun Java, v 6 Update 27, build 1.6.0_27
ATI info:
hardware: AMD Radeon HD 6970, DID# 6718 PCI Express 2.0 x16 BIOS 013.008.000.010 2048 MB GDDR5 Ram Driver: Ver. 8.901.2-111016a-12699E-ATI Catalyst Ver. 11.10 Direct 3D Ver. 7.14.10.086 OpenGL 6.14.10.11299
