I am a 21 year old woman diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis. In this video, I just explain how keeping a record of what you eat and drink can help with IC flares and reduce the frequency of flares as well.
Respond to this video... Oh, and traveling also causes most of my flare ups and the most pain it seems. It's not bad if I'm not in the car for more than 3.5-4 hours in one go. Breaks from driving are awesome. Flying for me is faster and better, I just have to make sure I drink tons of water on the flight and force myself to urinate often while I'm in the air. It may be a bit annoying, but it's way better than being in pain or feeling uncomfortable!
@ShBeCcA I'm so glad that I have helped you out, even if it's just a little bit! :D Yeah...antibiotics will leave you in more pain as I have discovered over the last six months or so after not taking them for a while...I have had less flare ups than ever before without the antibiotics! I don't have IC as severely as others but my trigger foods that put me in serious pain are: citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, limes), tomatoes and tomato sauce (so NO tomato sauce pizza or on pasta), chocolate.
Hi, I am 100% sure i have IC. Have been on many different antibiotics for UTIs inclusing long term over past 3 years! Pain sometimes last for weeks! Very painful, my quality of life is very poor! Antibiotics have not helped! Your videos are very helpful.
