China was caught in a civil war. Li Zicheng sacked Beijing in 1644. Ming General Wu Sangui opened up the Shanhai pass to the Manchu so they could topple the short lived Shun Dynasty. Manchuria which was still Jurchen back then and was previously under Ming rule. They began to rebel against the Ming, but some Ming officers sought their assistance when the last Ming Emperor committed suicide.

At first China (Song) was a tributary state of Khitan empire. And then Chinese (South Song) had to pay an exorbitant tribute again to Jurchens Kim empire when Kim conquered both Khitan empire and its tributary state (Song).

At first, Song empire (southern China) allied with Mongols to fight agianst Jin Empire (northern China);

After Northern Chinese dynasty was defeated by Mongol-song united force, the mongols wanted to invade Song empire

I never understood why ppl have to be so rude for no reason on forums and comment sites. Does it make your argument stronger to say some words you would never say in a real discussion?
