Oh My Goodness, they all look so young. We WERE all so young. Time, Time, Time!! Carl Perkins is gone, these guys are all 50 or more now and the guys who were their heroes are mostly gone.
@brib2brib2 Had the great pleasure of catching this gig a few years back when visiting Nashville. Wonderful evening. guitar and steel playing out of this world- and I'm a piano player.
Brent is in the rhythm section along with 2 of the other "Players" - Michael Rhodes on Bass and Eddie Bayers on drums. If you're not convinced Brent Mason is the best country guitarist on the planet watch the "Players" band in person down at Third & Lindsley bar in Nashville where he plays out live a couple times a month, which I've done several times. Its worth the trip!
@dusrwill You're right, if Brent started crossing genres, it would get interesting. That said, Mark O'Conner himself is an awesome guitarist who could easily hang with the others.I was speaking of what the
@bsnyder45036 I dunno, I beg to differ still, perhaps Lee can could hang with or even show a thing or two on country playing, But when Brent broke into the real jazzy stuff (Gatton, Montgomery), at breakneck speed, things would get interesting.

I Agree Brent Mason is one hell of a Player and he could put a lot of Guitar Players to shame but Vince Gill and Albert Lee isn't in that category.
