  • Yes the V-Rod should be a little faster with its Lighter weight and Horsepower its a good motor from Porsche and one has to wonder why Harley has not put this power plant in all their bikes? The V-Rod engine shares a lot of the same technolgy of the Victory with overhead cams, liquid cooled, the V-Rod and Victory started out as fuel injected motors, not converted from carbs, So it's not suprising they both make great power.

  • Just shut up and ride. Who cares about triple digit horse power unless you do your riding on a track...in a race. Aren't you glad we don't all ride the same bike, would be pretty boreing.

  • I Like both bikes, alot, but for some reason the V Rod just calls out to me more. I dont give a damn Porsche helped with the engine, in my eyes thats a plus.

  • The victory rider, was he wearing Harley boots? I hope not.

  • @enaznhoj good point every victory vid on youtube is about comparing to HD. Its starting to get comical

  • My old 88 cu in Road Glide Harley is out running a lot of victory on the road. All my weight you would think they could walk away from a Harley. But it the rider most of the time and not the bike.

  • @cadman311: My VROD is that, a VROD. I don't refer to it as a "Harley". Traditional Harleys are air cooled & slow as shit sliding uphill. I love all bikes, who cares about this & that it's all about whatever YOU wanna ride, right?

  • @enaznhoj sure they have. I bet they compared their coffee, pool tables, sun glasses, furniture, clothing, etc, etc... to others. O wait, don't they build motorcycles on the side, too??

  • If you wan't a bike that will kick both their asses for a fraction of the price, get a Star Warrior. I had one for 6 years and it was one of the best bikes I have ever rode. I only got rid of it to get a Star Stratoliner. Star motorcycles eat Victorys and shit Harleys

  • Here is the deal the HD guys are always going to be HD guys. I mean HD counts on their Loyalty to feed them inferior bikes. I have owned about a half dozen HD's and a bunch of everything else, Italian, Jap,US, Kraut,wop..This Victory is comparing itself to HD to show HD folks what the diff is..HD doesn't do any comparisons..why should they? They would have to prove claims and they can't. Just saying. With Victory buying Indian out it's a new game in town.

  • Lots of harley nutswingers in here. Having ridden bikes for 15 years now and formerly owning a motorcycle paint shop, I think I can say with confidence that I really WANT to like Harley Davidson. I keep coming back hoping they fix the little refinement issues I have with them. No such luck. Like the Dallas cowboys, Harley will always be a money making franchise regardless of how well they do. After riding a High Ball around Kona, Hawaii last week, my next purchase will have a Victory badge.

  • Victory show there 106 cu in up to the 88 cu in V Rod and not a show with V-Rod Muscle 125 hp at 8,250 rpm. Funny like that.
