Officially the World's Fastest Mini!!!!

This has been a long time in the making, it was the first time we ran it on the drag strip with the freshly built 7.2L. We ran a 10 dead on the motor at first. We then squirted some gas down it and a 9.6 second quarter was achieved. There is a bit of tweeking to do to maybe see 8seconds!! 600bhp, only running 50% of the 150bhp of Nitrous ;o)

We have just got back from Shakespeare County Raceway and claimed the official Worlds Quickest Mini Award 2008!!! Bring on 2009!

im really sorry to come across all miserable and dont mean to take away from your magnificent feat of engerneering.... but how can it be " OFFICIALLY " the worlds fastest mini when directly under your video theres a purple mini doin 7.5's..? and i bet if i had the brain power to look around (im stoned right now), i could find a faster one... so please, just be honest in your description... its ok to blow your own trumpet from time to time but just be honest ....eh! ... peace and love brother x

@blueberrynoon Because when the video was taken, in 2009 the car had just won the "Worlds fastest mini" competition at Avon Park. We have the Trophy to prove it. No dishonesty here mate, just do your research next time. :D

Thats would be because the A-Series engine is not very tuneable, you can find the fastest one, but it won't be very exciting lol!

@Danny4q Are you kidding? Carbs, rockers, heads, cams can all be changed. There's plenty of tuning options out there for A Series engines. Hell, the Cooper S was a major lead forward at is time. For a powerplant that's over 55 years old, the A Series doesn't do too badly.
