  • This is so powerful. I'm not a believer but this stirs my soul. Well, let me correct that: I am a believer when I hear this music!

  • @erinmatt We who sing this music have different religious beliefs, but there's one belief we all share - we believe in singing these songs together, often and with enthusiasm.

    Thanks for the appreciative comment.

  • I went to this same singing last year, that's where I fell in love with the singing. When I first heard recordings of it before I didn't really like it, thought it sounded too weird. I think it's best to hear it live before making a judgement on it.

  • @TCIndiana Sacred Harp singing isn't for everyone, but then, what kind of music IS? Sacred Harp is not sung for audiences, but for those participating, who love to sing this kind of harmony together.

  • I love this one too!! No im not apart of any group...i say sacred hart...and all i get is a weird look! No one around this town knows about it! But thank you so much for sharing again!

  • You should say 'Sacred Harp' (not 'hart'). You'll still get a weird look & they won't know what it is. But that's the word.

Glad you enjoy the songs, and you're most welcome!

  • I'm a non-theist. However, you'd have to be deaf and completely emotionless to not find this music anything less than incredibly inspirational. The atmosphere and buzz must be amazing to actually be there live in person and take in the energy.

  • You have a typo in the beginning of your video: You wrote 547, but it's 457.

  • Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I had missed it. Fantastic!
