opensubtitles.org video guide about creating hardsubbed video using VirtualDubMod. In this case external text subtitles (*.srt, *.sub, *.txt) become part of the image. Very simple with english subtitles.

  • well, like I said, I'm sure it can be converted into *.avi first and then edited in vdub without problems.

  • Thanks to motherfucking Windowsers and their patent #6,041,345 you can't do this with some videos. So I'm searching for something better like Vidmex (but I don't have money to buy this)

  • I don't think so, I can do this with any video, maybe previous conversion from stupid formats like *.mov can be helpful

  • Will you be able to put subtitles on and off like you can on dvd's? Please reply.

  • No you won't. subtitles will be a fixed part of video frames. It's helpful, when you want to put a video with subtitles on youtube, for example.

  • why wont text sub show up on mine

  • because you have to download it and put in virtualdub plugin directory or you can download vobsub and install it in your system including vdub plugins.
