@1pixie That could be a sticky link. Put your rear gear on the highest gear (smallest cog) and watch the chain go over the link as you drive the chain. If there is a sticky link it will hop of the cassette. Once you identify the culprit bend it up and down and from side to side to loosen the join.
@evanscycles i'm having trouble finding helpful info for this but recently I've been having trouble with my bike chain. Every time I go up a hill and/or apply more force to petals, about every rotation my chain will sort of skip and it makes riding unbarable for I do ride mostly in hilly areas. I've tryed most all gears and had the same outcome, leading me to the conclusion that something is wrong with my chain. any help or information would be much appriciated thanks

If your chain skips it means the chain is too lose I do believe
