  • My baby sister was jumping up and down and dancing through the whole video!

  • the piano may be sharp-but this is a great performance. The music flows on and on like a stream. This is the way Bach would have wanted it!

  • @frankymountain See Paul Wittgenstein about that.

  • @prietoanachronism No. There was no pitch standard at the time. Authentic performances stick with 415 Hz since that's a good approximation of what a lot of composers used. Bach however even played his organ 460+ Hertz at a time.

  • Bach makes me remember the lightness of rain

The pitch of A at J. S. Bach's time was 415 Hz, so almost all performances of Bach's works (which are usually at 440 Hz) are sharp.

Personally I think most things sound just as good down a notch, but 450 sounds like a sick dog.

  • sharp is good :P closer to the universal tuning pitch of 450

  • @MusikalischesHaus How do you know that?? xD Maybe Bach wanted it different!

  • @MusikalischesHaus You ever got the chance to ask him? But I agree, a great performance.
