789 people of all ages died in an accidental firearm accident in 2005

43, 667 people died in motor vehicle accidents.

23, 218 people died from unintentional poisoning.

19, 656 people died from an unintentional fall.

5, 900 people died from unintentional suffocation.

Let's ban cars, pools, draino, and the flu, all of which kill more inocent people then guns do.

Come on guy's. Guns what kind of defence is that a pistol can only fire on round at a time and it takes a short while to load the next bullet into the chamber. Instead just carry what I carry and they are legal to carry but use them right and your attacker could end a hot BBQ. Aerosol can and a box of matches. I remember a girl tell me that she kept a little eye drop bottle of ammonia on her instead of pepper spray. The short term effect is the same and it can be squirted upwind easier than an aerosol spray. Plus those bottles are tiny and easily hidden in your hand.

As far as I know, its legal to carry and you can use it to clean your nails etc.

Of course, I am not recommending this, its just something I heard once.

if my neighbour knew i had a firearm, and for some reason we had an argument or a misunderstanding, he/she could call the police and say that i threatened them. police would then come to my home and arrest me, take away my property (guns), and would probably never see them again. Bill c-68 is against every charter right we have, it needs to be stopped fast, or else we're going to be heading the same direction of the UK, we really dont want that !

it is the choice of the individual if he/she chooses to own a firearm. Just because some people are against firearms, doesn't mean we should ban them all. And if someone wants to defend their lives with one, then let them be, it's not interfering with your rights, so why be soo against it? lets help each other preserve our rights, and take control over our government. innocent people are being turned into criminals for just owning a firearm.

firearms are a sensitive subject in Canada, and a very emotionally charged subject at that.

I love firearms, and enjoy collecting, target shooting, and competing. if someone wants to use it as a self defense tool, then why not let them? they do have that right to protect themselves don't they? I sure wouldn't want some criminal breaking into my home and threatening my life as well as my family, would any of you want that? probably not. I will never push anyone to buy a gun .......
