Isn't a 6 way connector meant for 6 wires? Wouldn't you want a 4 way conenctor since the original data cable is only 4 wires? Mind sharing where you bought them? Thanks in advance.

This unit is ASCU ver.1 or ASCU ver.2?
Can you explain how did you wired to front? I am interested in switch assembly place in gearbox. how did you arrange wires?

Not sure what version you have but mine has 6 wires in the ribbon cable. 3 along the top and 3 on the bottom on the Idc connector and I bought them off eBay.

I just used a standard idc 6 way connector the same as what it comes with. And left enough ribbon to pull back so that I can work on the gear box if needed. I'm currently working on a way to completely separate the ribbon from the front end and will put up a vid soon
